The Chicago Bears faced a major setback in their game across the pond on Sunday when long-snapper Scott Daly was ruled out with a knee injury in the first quarter.

Daly, stepping in for the injured Patrick Scales, left the Bears scrambling, as they had no backup long-snapper on the roster.

With Daly sidelined, tight end Cole Kmet stepped up to handle the long-snapping duties for punts and field goals.

In a wild turn of events, Kmet not only had to snap on the extra point after scoring the team’s first touchdown in the second quarter, but he also nailed it, with kicker Cairo Santos converting the point.

Daly, a hometown favorite from Downers Grove, has appeared in 48 NFL games, including six this season with the Bears.

He joined the team after Scales went down with a back injury earlier in the year.

Despite the tough situation, the Bears are doing what they can as they keep pushing through a challenging game in London.
